The Institute of Masters of Wine (IMW) exists to promote the highest level of educational achievement for the wine industry, culminating in the internationally recognized qualification of Master of Wine (MW). The Institute of Masters of Wine is proud of its prestigious position at the leading edge of wine education. It attracts motivated people who will become the next generation of highly knowledgeable professionals within the wine trade. The Institute's philosophy is simply to promote excellence in the wine industry. To that end, the Institute has created a clear Statement of Intent.
