| The first International Sake Challenge was held on Tuesday
24th July at the Sheraton Miyako Hotel in Tokyo. Almost 100 of the
leading Sake breweries from across Japan participated, submitting
a total of over 200 Sakes.
Over 200 Sakes entered, 46 received a Seal of Approval, 73 a Bronze
Award, 47 a Silver Award and 10 a Gold Award. The 3 Sakes which
in the opinion of all the judges represented the very best of all
Sakes judged received a coveted Trophy Award - this was graciously
presented by HIH Princess Takamado in an Awards ceremony held at
the Grand Hyatt Tokyo on Friday 26th October at 14:30 hours.

RESULTS
